Legal action upon employer policies ?
Is there any legal way to challenge employer policies (like keeping very low basic salaries for Engineers and not allowing them allowances/family visas) .. is there any law for this ??
and what might be the concequences if it goes wrong :) .. what else employer can do except holding back my passport and not issuing me exit permit. lol
Thelonius: The laws are taken seriously when it benefits a certain strata of society ..
Just holding your passport and not giving you your exit permit can put you on hold for the rest of your life or till he finally decides that he has made you suffer enough and can now let you go. You can get a ticket to Bermuda or to the moon but without a exit permit you just cannot get out my friend
If everything is going on as per the Contract there is nothing much you can do or rather you shouldnt do. Btw if things were not going as per Contract also you cannot do anything...:)
after signing your work contract and joined the company now you want to make a protest??
find a another job and move on or go back! You not forced to stay here!
You are free to look for another job which provides you everything you are looking for. Going for legal action will lead you to the same. so its better to look for a job (without spending money for lawyer and the headache behind it :) )
@Equin0X :enough of that polite yet effective negotiation for past 5 years ...lol.. they give me a candy every time ...
@Britexpat , actually it didnt grew as i would have expected. it crept up 4-5% per year and if u started with a lower value it leads u no where ...
Contribute positively to the company and use polite yet effective negotiation to upgrade your compensation.
You signed the contract with the knowledge and agreement of low basic salary I presume.
Legal laws are in documents only and not for any one to challenge here.
You cannot challenge your sponsor, it is your end here. Stick to the signed contract and decide whether to continue or to quit, its your choice, no one can stop you. Your last sentence is self explanatory.
