Frog whats the big deal...

Q1. Do you want to just format the whole drive. and then give it to somebody?

(Even if you format your data can be retrived by a technician)

Ans. If you want to give it to somebody then

1. Erase all data.

2. Copy a 600mb or 1GB file

3. & then keep copying until the disk is full till the last MB.

4. Erase once again.

5. Format your drive. - >"Format C:" Enter.

Now if anybody retrives your data he will get the junk file you kept copying

Q2. Do you want to fromat & then install windows & other softwares on it?

Ans:

Make sure that you have 1 full day for yourself.

1. Make sure you format with(/S) System files on it(.Com & .ini files).

2. Put in your Windows XP/Vista CD (XP will run faster than Vista) and follow instructions.

3. Keep hot coffee/chocolate flowing. Cigars if you smoke. Switch on your telly. But dont leave your chair.

If you mess up you can meet up some of the above guys to get it fixed!

Dont worry you cannot crash your hard disk unless you drop it/touch it with static electric charges or voltage fluctuation.

What is the problem with your laptop? Try to identify or at least know what it is. Maybe it can be resolved without formatting or maybe reformatting may not get rid of it. Just be sure you know the problem before providing the treatment.

just load your recovery disk and restart the laptop then follow the instruction from there.

"Fascinated with Supercars but can’t afford it yet, so I settle down for a humble Jeepney, proudly Philippine made."
