iPod vs Creative Zen

There is very little price difference between Zune and Ipod anymore.  Microsoft came out with their latest and now prices are comparable.  I'm pushing Creative.  You'll get a better deal.

First question would be what Ipod are you looking at to compare to the new Creative Zen?  I bought an 8 gig Ipod Nano 3rd Generation for my daughter.  It cost me $200.  Just recently I bought myself the new Creative Zen.  I got 16 gig's for $195 and I can add memory to it via the SD card slot.  The Zen does everything that the Ipod 3rd Gen does plus the Zen has a 1/2 inch larger screen.  Only thing the Ipod does that the Zen doesn't is play games.  The Zen is slightly thicker than the Ipod, but so freakin' what!!

My opinion, Ipod is over-priced, but they can afford to be since everyone seems to be suckered in by Apple.  OMG, Mac computers are more expensive than Dell computers and that's BAD.

If you're concerned about your image and the "cool factor" then go for ipod. Apple's clever marketing and admittedly good looking designs mean they are the must have mp3 player for the hip and trendy generation.

However, if all you you're worried about is having something that plays music then go for something a bit cheaper (but still from a known brand, e.g. sony, creative, iriver). And hey, then you'll have something a bit more unique than an ipod, rather than being a sheep and following the heard!

i heard that they keep on upgrading.

First, you will need a personal computer that you will dedicate to this i-pod, and where you can store the music.  if i want to transfer music to another computer, it is quite difficult and not user friendly.

A friend of mine had deleted all his music after lending it to another friend who thought he could copy and upload more music.  He failed.  The other computer wiped all songs.

One time, another friend (let's call him this time Mr. X)... bought one i-pod and it had problems with its hard drive.  i know i-pod is not at all that bad... there are just some positive and negative into it, which is why i am having second thoughts buying it since there are other brands that are available and could offer better features.

When buying, i always consider:

1.  Quality

2.  User friendliness (transfer of files is easy, i can use it while driving)... i don't like the wheel design.

3.  Price? Depends...

4.  Storage

5.  Durability

I have a creative Zen and very happy with it. I also have external speakers. Its cheaper and looks good, works well, been with me for 2 years now, what more do you want !

Buy a microsoft ZUNE...

Cheaper than an Ipod....i think its like 925 riyals in Jarir
