Info About Teaching at Doha Academy
Hello,
I'm new to the forum, my husband and I are considering relocating to Qatar. We've been offered a job at Doha Academy for 8500 a month + Free accomodations at their compound.
We are currently in Saudi so this salary doesn't sound great to us, but is it acceptable in Qatar if the accomodation is paid for?
Also does anyone live or know anyone who lives on the compound that Doha Academy provides? Is is suitable for a family with two small children? 6 and 2 regarding cleanliness and playground and all.

I have no idea about teachers salaries in Doha but 17000 plus housing does not seem to be a bad deal. What about medical, transportation & children education?
Its, 8500 for one i.e Husband and 8500 for the other i.e wife.

If 8500/ is for both of you working then forget about it. Howveer, if it is for one of you and second person (husban or wofe) shall be working seperately then you may consider it.
try the search function. Last time I did a search on this school there wasn't a good report on one of the threads. Try for yourself. If your job provides a second income then you should be fine. Again use the search function there are excel files which give you rough ideas about general costs. It also depends on lifestyle and if you need to send money back.
