illegal demands of Land lord
I am staying in current accommodation since last 7 years and paying 4500 for 1 BHK, now I need to move from this accommodation as I am getting a better deal.
I have given PDC till Dec to landlord, now when I have given my land lord 1 month of notice, he is not ready to return my cheques, and in lieu he is asking for 2 month of rent.
Can ne one advice, were is " Rental Dispute Court", and how can I seek help from there.
Can someone advice me how can I get my cheques back and get out of this problem.
Are you still in town and still asking the same question? What's your point? I think it was fully answered on your thread, I guess?

i have to asked you
if someone is leaving outside Qatar and did not want to inform landlord due to this problem and dont want to deal with lawyer, can landlord stop the tenant at the airport?
Did you rent from the Owner, or is it an ILLEGAL sublease?
Did you read your contract??
You would need to think about these questions before going through any legal proceedings.
It is in your hand to cancel your pdc(s) through your bank, your landlord cannot cash them in, in advance anyway.
If the two-month rent was already deposited, I doubt your ability to claim the amount, especially if it was not stipulated in your contract, or documented on an invoice or any other payment proof. Mine has no provision on that, but was agreed between me and the landlord verbally.

you have signed the contract and you have to follow the condition's ... but if you are leaving now... eventhough you have paid cheque's... this is not the condition that you pay the landlord 2 month's rent...or else you are rightful to do complaint in labour dept...
between you and the landlord...
even if the contract has been made between you and the lord... in the contract there must be/usually the point... that under any circumstances whenever you have to leave you will give a notice of one month in advance...to the landlord...
if you have signed the contract then you have to follow the contract terms and condition. if there is no contract then you need to consult some lawyer to see you legal standing in this case.
