How to send money to UK bank account

Hi guys,

A bit of advice. I get paid in dollars, which gets converted to QAR.

I want to send half of my salary to UK bank account. What is the most efficient way?.

My company can do the half of the salary transfer directly (from dollars to GBP) or they can pay me all in QAR. Is it worth to just get paid in QAR and then wait for the value of GBP to weaken before transferring?.

Most efficient way is to open an HSBC account here and then in UK. Then you can transfer anytime and without hassle.

Cheaper way (better exchange rates) use one of the money exchanges
