some specialist can do that...

Put the car on axle stands. Start the car and put it into reverse. Let it run for a few hours. :O)

i don't think they can do that with the cars today, mostly are digital already. but if it's from the 90s, then it is possible...BUT randomguy is right, nobody will help you here since you're planning to dupe people...

better buy a car, park it in safety place & travel by bus, this would hopefully save you from loss!!

i heard that if the car has been driven for more that the maximum kilometer, then the odometer will restart again.

it is like you traveled around the world like 5 or 6 times ..maybe more

Buy a car, keep it in your garage at zero km and rent a car with unlimited mileage option for your personal use! Hope this solves your problem.

By randomguy• 3 Mar 2011 11:13
randomguy

Deal 4 wheel it will not restart but will start from the same number that you stopped it at.

Pulling out the odometer's wire only stops it where its at.

saaab2011 it can be done but since you will use it to dupe some unsuspecting customer I am not that interested to help you.

buy a new intrument cluster instead:) it surely be back to zero km. and you'll have an un-used car back from 1990's haha

can the mod pls log his IP address and prevent him from posting a vehicle for sale advert?

People like these should be penalised for attempts to cheat others

saaab2011, I totally understand you becasue of the very shallow concept here about connecting the depreciation of the car to its muileage rather than to its condition... You can do that, but its not right, and you might will caught because there are workshops or dealers who resords of you car information in case you bought it from here and maintained it.

Good luck

Sounds like a great guy to buy a car from, I bet it has never been off road, only driven by your wife at weekends and never been in an accident.
