Take 10 pieces of thick papers. As covering you may xerox out the periodic table and pictures of few molecules artistically placed.

The papers may be cut around the edges or colored..

The rest of the ten pages can be written in the order of - hisory of chemistry, origin of the term, father of chemistry, etc. Then elaborate shortly in the rest of the pages- uses, different branches, future of chemistry, applications in daily life, etc..

Tie up the papers with something unique and present it.

I just cant forget the "early man project" we did for my small daughter. Burnt the paper all around to give an old look.Wrote the presentation and tied the whole bunch with a strand of original leather I pulled out from a handbag. Looked unique to the teacher..

Internet may be used. But the presentation should be clever and innovative..Not the usual "cut and paste" way. All the best...

Believe me it'll work. From a 5 page report, it will magically turn into a 10 page report. I've made lots of reports in the past too and this helped me a lot. :))

Just outline your chemistry book. In MS Word, use font size 14, 1.5 line spacing, and 1 inch margin on all sides. It will do the trick. Good luck! :)

i think you know how we define chemistry

if i am not wrong it can be defined as " Chemistry is a basic science whose central concerns are -

the structure and behaviour of atoms (elements)

the composition and properties of compounds

the reactions between substances with their accompanying energy exchange

the laws that unite these phenomena into a comprehensive system.

if you ubderstand all these and out of these choose one you can very easily make a booklet of more than 100 pages believe me just concentrate

but it would be cheating. use it if u like to. Normally, most of the people do not go beyond the second or third page on google. you can search for the subject u like and then go to the 6th or 7th page and look at the results. :)

All you have to get is the table of elements! then use your imagination then the book will come out!

but teacher told us that its an example of gas :D lol i swear :D ....but umm alright :)

By anonymous• 16 Dec 2010 20:30

its a good idea..you need to study about each of these gases and write in your own words in your project note. it will be nice.

include oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, carbondioxide and ammonia...dont write about water vapour, its not a gas in the real sense, its a vapour.

By mona mohammad• 16 Dec 2010 20:23

all :) like nitrogen oxygen argon Co2 water vapur n etc

mona, you need to know about organic and inorganic first and then describe them.

in the inorganic area, explain the periodic table, how the chemical properties of metals and non-metals are in accordance with their position etc. how exothermic and endothermic reactions take place...whats electropositive or electronegetive nature of elements..what are covalent and electrovalent bonds, whats a valency of the element and how does it effect its properties..

in the organic side, write about carbon & hydrogen and their properties, hydrocarbons, isotopes, isomers, C-H chains, properties of hydrocarbons, reactions with oxygens, fuels, calorific value of fuels etc.

this will cover some 20 pages..:)
