H1N1 vaccine - have you got your shot?

jpa
By jpa

My wife and myself receive the H1N1 vaccine two days ago. I disregarded all the negative comments I read and heard about the vaccine just to have a peace of mind that I am now protected against the swine flu.

Free vaccination is now going on in all health centers.

Only valid Qatar ID is needed. I went to the Abu Hamour vaccination center. Just show the ID to the counter. They are open during eid from 7:00am to 1:00pm.

jpa said Health centres see huge rush for H1N1 jabs ..."

Actually... I'd avoid health centres unless I'm weally weally sick.. might catch something really nasty... All other common ailments, I have my fridge stocked up for minor emergencies... even gastritis.

nadt said people are worked up over nothing, we all have to die of something, if its swine flu so be it."

Lol! Right on, Nadt! Live each day as if it's our last. No regrets. If it's time to go, it's time to go. Hope don't suffer and just go out like a light... but whatever.

Methinks Harmagedōn and legal_pad are right.

Did a case study 2 yrs ago on a company in the pharmaceutical industry, making real huge losses in developing meds, losing out to generic drug companies, only have a window of opportunity to make money, etc.etc.

Misinformation or lack of information coupled with lack of ethics are the tools to taking advantage of other people for some people's personal interests. Sad..:0(

yeah you had a shot for your peace of mind. but you shoudn't have worried at all because H1N1 virus is weaker than the regular flu. It just affects those who have terminal diseases

anyway, make sure your immune resistance is strong by taking the right diet and lifestyle... taking daily supplements of vitamin c helps as well

My view is that is that the if drugs companies are so corrupt I would rather go along with it and be given a placebo. If they are right I will take the vaccine and survive when others won't. If any of the conspicary theories are correct, it would best for me to go along with it, I have no energy to rebel, unless I have already been injected and have lost my memory....

ah lifes to short to worry about how you are going to die. When it s time to go, its time to go, whether you are sitting at home watching TV or in the middle of a war zone or oink oink flu :O

Nadt,

There is the typical Lebanese attitude, I love it!

Byblos, Farajah, Bekkah, Cidres to BO18, to the virgin mega-store in front of a huge ass Mosque to the frightening streets of Tripoli.... Lebanese understand that life = life.... and thats all there is to it.

I did not take it because Swine Flue it is easy to cure given early detection.

Why are producing companies relieved from being accountable for any side effects? they should be confident!

I wish you all the best though!

I believe it is the pharmaceutical industry world wide, making a big issue to justify sales. Untested and uncontested medicines that are push by Vienna world wide. We can't denied H1N1 could be mild or deadly to others. Yet, a lot of people die of common flu, common Pneumonia or severe dehydration every day and it is not related to H1N1.

I believe it is a big scare to control world population. I will wait to see the adverse results of those who had taken the H1N1 shots.

When I was in high school, one of my teachers told me the following;

"be careful with some people who would pretend to know everything, although they got their qualifications counting the birds under the tree".

By now maybe you don't need a vaccine but a medicine for hypertension. (JOKE ONLY)

Considering that my present age is 46, I would be thankful to GOD to have another 20 years.

WHY OH FREAKING WHY?

By now H1N1 is no more than a regular flue that can be solved with some simple medicine and 3 to 5 days bed-rest.

WHY OH WHY do people allow the Media to get in their heads?

People have been roaming the Earth for ions, we have survived black death, cholera and numerous other outbreaks. H1N1 may be a mutated string, but has not been completely unknown to us. 1979 if I am not mistaken.

IF YOU ARE NOT SICK DO NOT GET VACCINATED YOU ARE HUMAN AND HAVE A PERFECTLY FINE IMMUNE SYSTEM!!!

Pumping such vaccinations in your body, without even knowing what it is, you may regret in 20 years.
