dont know any feedback about al ahali my ins company isnt accepted there. (google them or ask your insurance company, but its private and for sure better to go to a private any day vs. hamad.
i have heard from locals that live here.... many bad things regarding hamad.....good technology but not qualified staff that knows how to use it, and wait hours to get an appointment, that is if you can get an appointment. it's who you know to get in....you have to have residence to go there. they dont accept ins there.

Personal opinion...I had surgery aug 14th for gallbladder at al emadi by Dr. al Emadi himself.
Had bad ER exp. at Doha clinic. Will never go back. Seems I had to teach the dr. How to be a dr. As he only wanted to give me meds... For what???? I had to tell him u can't just medicate me without running tests!!! I feel he bought his degree. I could do his job. All he did was press on my abds a bit, then sat at his desk and say he will give me pain meds.....
Thx to insurance, I found al emadi hospital, did my research , went in registered at from reception. It's a must btw. Don't go to ER before u register. They can have u avoid ER and just see a general surgeon right away, to save time sitting un necessary in ER if you know what's wrong.
I was treated very good from the first day when I needed the ultrasound then the consult, lab tests, the staff trained to American standards and customer service was my reason to feel safe to have a surgery outside my own country. . My follow up post surgery went well.
Btw i had very nice Private room, and well trained staff. I never waited long for my tests and got my surgery few days after my consult when the ins. Approved.
