I don’t have a fear of flying, but your stress management techniques I am sure I could find helpful during other situations.

Anyway is is a big difference to me, too flying on a small plane verses a big jet.

I have breakfast here every couple of weeks with my running club! Don't have much to add besides that except: love this blog!

Hi Chris,

If you wish to take private flying lessons please contact me at [email protected]

I can then advise you of who to chat with at the college to organize PPL studies.

Cheers,

Graeme

...is a part of their CPL training, that's why it's expensive but what I'm looking for is the "aero-club" PPL training.

The aircraft maintenance head (Mr Graeme) told me during the AlKhor Airshow 2009 that they are about to create the first aviation club aimed to amateurs in Qatar.

Yes, from their website: "(a) Ab initio training: This takes a student who has no aviation experience up to a Private Pilots License (PPL). This involves 45 hours of flying with some basic ground school. " I believe they are expensive, though. I guess they use DOH, can you imagine every time you are "cleared for take-off, beware wake turbulence"!

Hi Chrisrowan and everybody,

I actually posted the very same question previously but didn't get much replies. I am very interested in this, but the problem is that I work in the morning. I wonder if there are any lessons during the afternoons?

I think we should ask about this aeronautical college.
