fined

Hi Guys,

I got a fine of QR 500. the site is not so clear in the reason. it says "LOADING A VEHICLE IN A WAY THAT CAUSES DANGER TO PEOPLE AND PROPERTIES"...

does this mean that i did not park the car right. i remember that at that time, i was near the qatar airways office and was dropping my frined for some work. since there was no parking i was on the road with double indicators for about 5 mins... Is this the reason for getting fined ?

how can i confirm / verify if i was at fault ?

Hi

Its for over speed which is more than the designated speed.

You go to Traffic department and ask for photo and they will give and then pay the fine!!!

Thats all

(i also paid in such way only)

i got the same fined too...with the same violation. And they say this was due to speeding! What ever your violation, once recorded you should pay for it!

same wording appears if some body is moving more than the limited speed. i believe this is not for parking this must be for overspeeding

If u r over speeding, fine increases with every 10 KMH over speeding in multiples of 100 QAR. Example, if speedlimit was 80 and u drove at 100 KMH u will be fined QAR 500. 300 for basic and 200 for +20 speed above speed limit.

Guys, you should all know that the MOI Arabic website is the correct and accurate version, the English website is not matching, so ask a friend who know Arabic to check your plate on the MOI Arabic website and he will tell you the correct reason of this fine, it can be speed, parkingh or even mobile phone :)

It's 500 QR and 'translates' as "Not wearing seatbelts."

This is still the best:"DRIVING A LOADED VEHICLE HIGHER THAN 42 METERS ABOVE THE ROAD."

(From the Government Website, Traffic Violations.

I guess LOADING in Arabic could also mean Speeding...

...looks like it could also mean "Parking"...

lolz abu... true... btw, i think ice and hms are more closer. i did load my vehicle infront of a couple of cars, but that was for like only 1-2 mins.. i guess some policeman in plain clothes might have seen this, as i dont remember any police vehicle passing..

anyways, ill be careful next time :)

thanks Ice. when we checked the arabic version, my arab friend said i was speeding. i just wanted to confirm, coz its very rare i speed.

i think they should make the reasons for fine more clear. that would avoid confusion.
