DVI to VGA cable

I wish to attach my Desktop to both monitor and the projector for presentation .But the PC has got only one VGA slot, which is anyway to be connected to the projector. But the presenter now feels he wish to see his monitor too.

A friend advised to go for a DVI-to- VGA cable and this may be used to connect cable PC-DVI port and connect to the monitor.

- Is it a good solution ?
- where I can get such cable ?

You only need a VGA Splitter to solve your problem.

we need to have two VGA cards ?

thee is already a VGA card and also there are both ports DVI and VGA

Just buy a VGA splitter. It will cost you only around QR 50 and up.

Cables and other Computer accessories is available in Sofitel building in souq.

FYI: even if get this type of cable you will not even use it in dual monitor function. you have to attach a new VGA Card with dual monitor support.
