Dual Residency

Hi,

I have recently transferred to Doha from Bahrain. However I have not cancelled my Bahrain Residency.

Note that my employer/sponsor in Bahrain and in Doha are same.  Is it possible to retain my Bahrain Residency along with my Qatari Residency? I mean - can I have a dual residency. If so are there any special procedures for this. Note that I have finished my medical, CID etc. in Qatar. Appreciate your valuable advice.

YES It is permitted - Your company takes the responsibility and so you dont have to worry about RP. In case immigration demands later that you haveto cancel bahrain RP, your sponsor will take care of that. So better keep a letter from your sponsor to show the permission or approval from inmmigration at the time of exit/re-entry

Yes, you can have a qatari visa, but you have to pay an amount of QR 2000 for dual residency. this is sure i have a similar case

No...Once you are out of bahrain for more than 6 months..Your bahrain residency will be automatically canceled.

Else just visit bahrain once between six months to continue both countries residency status !!
