DRIVING IN THE RAIN

Dracula
By Dracula

It is very crucial to be able to see while driving in the rain.

Make sure that your wipers are in good conditions and functioning properly.

If the blade is not functioning well already replace it with a new one!

Avoid excessive use of brakes. Don’t push to hard, to prevent sliding; reduce speed.
Maintain three times the distance you usually would from other motorists.
Never drive through flooded and unfamiliar places, the water could be deeper than you think.
Do not take chances, turn around and look for another route.
Always be alert for stop signs and things blocking the road.
Use middle lane.
If you feel that the heavy rain, the wet road and the glare of oncoming lights limits your vision already, pull over, turn on your hazard signal and wait until it is safe to drive again.
Allow more travel time so that there is no need for rush.
Make it a habit to check your tire’s air pressure level.
Make sure your tires have plenty of tread to avoid sliding or loss of control when driving on a slick road.
Check your brake fluid as well as your emergency handbrake if functioning properly.
Make sure that all your lights are working. It’s very important not just for you to see but also for other motorists to see you especially during heavy rain.

Bloody regards,
Drac

I'll never let you see

The way my broken heart is hurting me

I've got my pride and I know how to hide

All the sorrow and pain

I'll do my driving in the rain

If I wait for cloudy skies

You won't know the rain from the tears in my eyes

You'll never know that I still love you

So though the heartaches remain

I'll do my driving in the rain

Raindrops falling from heaven

Will never wash away my misery

But since we're not together

I'll wait for stormy weather

To hide these tears I hope you'll never see

Someday when my crying's done

I'm gonna wear a smile and walk in the sun

I may be a fool

But till then, darling, you'll never see me complain

I'll do my driving in the rain

I'll do my driving in the rain

I'll do my driving in the...rain

I've been driving in the rain,

From Ramada Junction to Gharrafa main

Wipers going to and fro

Slow drivers in front

Go man Go

I like driving in the rain

Although it can be quite a pain

DaRuDe riding his camel with the hump

Slowing down for each road bump

I like driving in the rain

Making Choo Choo noises like a train

Following a Dacia , Gica at the wheel

No slip differential, Tyres squeel

Any more .....................................

By DohaDiesel• 12 Dec 2009 15:10

No Disregard to the advice !!!

But it rains what 2 or 3 times a year with a heavy fall ?? So Gica, for this we should have in reserve a spare set of wet tyres, power enhancer for the engine and special insurance incase of accident in the rain ??? By the time you arrange for the tyres to be fitted, find the power enhancer and ensure that your insurance is covering a rainy accident, the rain will have stopped !

By anonymous• 12 Dec 2009 15:08

Got that right, man!

Some things are out of control, Gica. There is no insurance possible.

By anonymous• 12 Dec 2009 15:04

What about the insurance in case of accidents? You're covered?

I am ..I got a V-8, Gica, no power issue.

By anonymous• 12 Dec 2009 15:00

Also be sure that you have reserve tires and put some additive in fuel tank to increase the power of the engine. :P

It only rains for two days a year, so is it worth spending money on new wipers ??
