Driving from Doha to Dubai

Good morning! My husband and i are planning to drive from Doha to Dubai and wondered if there was anyone who had done this and what, if any, visas/formalities are required? We're both British, my husband has a Doha residence visa and i'm on a visit visa at the moment. We would really appreciate it if anyone could assist us! Thank you! :)

I think there are two separate things to check here: 1) can you get a transit visa for Saudi without an RP? 2) Can you get a visa on arrival in Dubai. I think the answer to the 2nd q is easy - but good luck with finding a reliable answer to the first. My advice - wait till you both have your RPs before you try this...

Oh really? What a shame ... i really wanted to do that journey. I was hoping it would be the same as flying, where on entering you would pay for a visit visa stamp in the passport. Thank you for replying, much appreciated!

Sorry, but you will need a resident permit to drive to dubai, visit visa is not available. Also a transit visa to go thru saudi , if you both have your RP.
