Does Gcc companion visa cover africans?

hello, i would like to know if the gcc visa cover africans and if not what kind of visa do i need to have when coming to Qatar from nigeria and how do i go about it?
kindly do advice me here cos i did get a gcc visa and was told by the airline i was meant to travel with, that i got the wrong visa.

GCC Visa not covers African

Visit visa required for Qatar(only for visit, not for working) and you can apply through Qatari embassy in your country or through Qatar airways (if present in ur country)
