Can we help a poor family?

Assalamu Alikkum.

I would like to seek help from QL members to help a poor family which I came across recently.

This family consists of three female members (sisters) all are above 50 years old. 2 of them never married and younger one is a widow.

The sad part is that, out of first 2, 1 of them is blind by birth and the other one is a heart and kidney patient. Basically they have no one to protect or take care of their daily needs.

Since its Ramadan, we all have to give Zakat, so I thought this one of the families which really deserves it.
I have already spoken to my colleagues and collected some fund. So if any of you would like to contribute, please send me a PM, I will let you know my number or location.

Please note this is not a scam or lie. I felt if I can do this small initiative, it would be a great help for that family.

Thank you!!

You will be taken as a fraud, why dont you request people from the town where they stay to help them. I personally end up doing so in my relatives/area first as commanded. By the way the time has come where a muslim is finding tough to find people who are supposed to be given the zakat and you will really find many in the same area who can support them.
