Yes you can. But you have to be wait minimum 01 year to change ur profession.
Let me ask you a Question,
M.Tech - have you done M-Tech directly after a course in B.Engineering ?
I am asking since, 2 days back I met a person (M.Tech) he was also having some issues ...
But, not of big concern .. but still.
hmmm...why created another ID. You have already been replied to (advised) here:

you will not be able to get family residence visa or drivers license, as mentioned you will find it really difficult to convert to engineer visa once you land here, better get it fixed before you travel on that visa.
I just posted few posts on this subject this morning which are below and hope will be helpful for you :-
"Yes you can change it but after 1 year. For the 1st year, you cant change anything on RP. Bare in mind, profession change even after 1 year is a hectic process."
"You can not get visa on arrival to any GCC based on carpenter profession neither can you get driving license. Companies who are in rush to recruit, issue visa's of carpenter etc to professional staff just to have them on board fast. For 1st year, you cant change profession but even after 1st year, the process is hectic. Ironically, the profession change from carpenter to engineer before issuance of visa is very very very easy but the lazy camels( PRO') makes things tough for staff by not doing their job on time which makes ppl suffer big time later on."
