Thanks for the feedback ...I'm sure the company should cover the costs. Friends of our just moved into one of the BH compounds and say that it is very nice ...hoping to be one of their neighbors soon.
Looking forward to the move (if it comes about) ...still in the discussion stages.
We live next door to one of the B.H. compounds. There are three B.H. Compounds. The latest is looking near to completion - although like ours - completion can take a while. They are located near the Sports Stadium and along side Al Waab st. Both of which are being finished at the moment, so traffic is hell with the diversions. This will be OK come December as this is the main area for the Games.
We like the area since it is close to Salwa Rd which pretty much has everything you need to survive. The markets are close, and so(ish) are the Souqs, and should you like to escape the airport is about (on a good day) a 15 minute drive away. And in the other direction only 2 minutes away is Villagio with Carrefour and all the Brit fashion stores (Evans, Next, River Island etc) and passed that is the Hyatt Plaza, with a 'Giant' Supermarket, and a Homes R Us store plus a few others.
The villas in the BH3 look good from the outside and, if like ours, should have new furniture. They love king sized beds here so be careful on the linen you bring. The single beds are the larger size too.
The rental on these units should be well in excess of 15k per month so make sure your company is paying for it. Not sure who is handling the rentals - your company should help you with this too.
