about the contact lenses hurting your eyes...I've worn them for ages and it never did any harm, in fact, kept my eyes from getting worse, especially in the case of astigmatism. When you wear hard lenses, they actually can help keep your cornea from changing to a worse vision. Doctors use this to prepare certain patients for cataract surgery, so it does work. I've worn both hard and soft..soft is so much more comfortable tho.  I have since had Lazik surgery done and think its totally amazing.

Maricel..go to an opthamologist and get your eyes checked, if you decide to go with the lenses option, they will teach you how to insert and remove the lenses, at the appointment where you get fitted for them. Its very easy but just takes practice. One word of caution here...it CAN be irritating with lenses when there is a sand storm here. Always carry lense solution, spare glasses, and a contact lense case, in case you need to remove them due to sand.

I understand how uncomfortable glasses can be. I was almost legally  blind, so had to get my lenses specially made, which is very expensive. The glasses were heavy and always slid down my nose, especially when it was hot and I'd be perspiring. The material they have nowdays is much lighter and if you go with a smaller lense, it will be fairly thin and lighter.

 You don't feel comfortable to your glasses maybe because its heavy, or didn't take the sight measurement of your eyes. Take lighter spectacles and go check with Dra. Asia

There are advantages for spectacles, you can wear and take them off as you like. Whilst the lense, aside from it is hard to wear, it is also hard to take out. For lenses, you should wash your hands first before wearing them, and the lenses should be washed  before and after wearing. The water solution for lenses if you are not careful have some effects, specially to those who have infection on it. Lenses are just cool to wear but in fact, it hurts the eye by simply irritating every usage. Infection is very common to get in contact lenses. I highly recommend the Lady opthalologist in Doha Clinic, Dra. Asia , you will be surprised how good she is. She will take your exact sight measurement and treat at the same time. Consultation is 150 qr. plus 25 for open file if you are new to Doha clinic.

and it's better not to wear any contact lens. It might irritate ur eyes later. and consult the specialist first.

I think the best idea is just to consult the doctor regarding this matter. I am pretty sure he/she will be able to answer all your questions, to teach you "how to put it into your eyes"... and even to give some extra valuable advices..

Visit an Opthalmologist, maybe they are the one who can answer all your questions, a friendly advice, dont believe to hear say, consult to the experts.
