Hello,
Any feed back about Chevorlet Trail blazer ?
I had been to the showroom and was surprised, they are offering a 4.2 lt for only 80k.
I heard it is a fuel guzzler .. any feed back ? what about maintenance and resale ?
Thanks for all your suggestions.
I have been using my 06 TB for about 3 years. I have 2 minor problems:
1) A/C which is ok since maintained by dealer as it was under warranty. Many TBs have same problem but the dealer won't tell u about it or do it unless you ask for it. Don't know why recall is not working!
2) Feel the shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Feeling of being bumped from behind when slowing down suddenly.
Other than that I never had any problem.
The full tank is about 80 liters and you can make 400km in city / 480km mixed (in city & Highway). that is 5-6 km/l.
All in all it is a good car and I really like it.
im interested in getting a trail blazer too, how much is a full tank of gas and how long does that last - would it last a week? ie.going to work everyday and out on weekends?
i hear the steering is bad.? any suggestions?
Great car - based on 1 yrs driving. Fuel consumption not bad if you don't feel the need to red-line it between traffic lights. Plenty of power in that 4.2, smooth to drive and solidly built.
I was looking for a lower cost 4WD and the only other vehicle that came close price wise was the Mitsubishi Vitara but I thought it was underpowered. The TB is good value for the money
Having said all that, I'm interested in selling my 2008 4WD TB only because I don't really need a 2nd car. Its dark cherry red metallic, and has only done 8500 km and none of that off road. Would actually prefer to sell the other car but my wife likes it (Honda CRV)!
Will consider any reasonable offers.

Just bought it seems very good and nice to drive. The 2WD is 81k and 4WD 87k the cheap rice is due to weak USD so they have not inflated in price compared to japanese cars over the last couple of year. If you compare to pajero it is more powerful that the 3.8 litre the TB is really a no brainer when looking for value.
Among 4 Cars, I also got a Chevrolet Trailblazer and they are good, reliable and cheap to maintain. Resale value is also quite good.
I have now driven my Trailblazer over 100 000 KM without any problems at all.
kimd, my AC is really great, nearly as good as my Mercedes SL600.- so I believe that you had not enough gas in the AC system.
I have one and I get 450km on a full tank of 80 litres. My main concern has been the ac not cooling when the car is stationery but since it has been serviced at the dealer it is working fine.
May your dreams take you travelling all through your life.
