I think depends on your job and experience. Also your personal circumstances e.g. if you are jobless currently then go for it but if you are earning good money in your home country with a good job where you can progress well then you have to think twice before coming over. As mentioned by other posters that if you live in shared room with little expenses then you can still save some money. But a lot depends on your personal profile i.e. your current job, your current family requirements.

Do not forget one thing that its not easy to change jobs here because of NOC requirement so do not think that you will come here and find a better paying job in next 6 months etc.

I am saying these things as lot of people come here misinformed and regret later on. I am not trying to put you off but I am saying take well informed decision rather than blind decision. Sorry for long reply but hope it helps you.

It all depends on you. If you are willing to live in a shared accommodation you may be able to get find one at QR 1500. Add another QR 1500 for your food and other miscellaneous expenses. The rest is in your pocket. If you use wish to rent an independent room, you may land up paying around QR 2500.

For a 2 bedroom apartment you have to shell out a minimum of QAR 6000/-

Now you do the math.
