Moving to Qatar - Recommendations for areas to live

Hi all, I am moving to Doha with my family in September to teach and we will need to find an apartment to live in. We are visiting Doha tomorrow for 4 days to get an idea of places to live.

Could anyone recommend areas that would be good to live in that we can view?

We are looking at a budget between 6,500QR to 8500QR roughly depending on the accomodation. One of our biggest priorities is to find an area that is clean (we've currently been living in school accomodation in Kuwait that is surrounded by rubbish). We also have a daughter so if there was an area to play that would be ideal. My school is located in the industrial area, so again, ideally an area that is not too far to travel to there.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The best place for you is to take Al Wakrah, it is a paradise to live and enjoy.

Your first consideration would be to look for a place within the vicinity of your school. This will save much time travelling. Contact some Real Estate agents in that area. They should be able to help you out. You should be able to get a two-bedroom apartment within your budget. If you are lucky to find one, inspect the place before you make the deal. In Doha the industrial area has been kept away from the city and all areas are pretty well-maintained by the Municipality.
