HOUSE CONTRACT TERMINATION
By Nashirpakz •
Please can anyone help me. i wanted to terminate my house contract and i gave the landlord 2 months notice.
my contract will end this year (its actually my second year already, but i renewed my contract for another 1 year . however due to several months salry delay i could not afford anymore the rent.
unfortunately the manager of the realestate told me that terminataion is not possible and that i have to finish the contract. please advise.
Yes, do so. If they ignore your email, never mind. You still have proof in writing you had informed them. Most Estate Agents are "dirty" people and need to be handled that way. You may also take along with you letter preferably written in Arabic giving them notice when you wish to vacate the apartment and try to make them receive the letter. If they do accept your letter, make them place a rubber stamp of the Estate agency.
Thanks to the respond. actually i already sent them email last week but they haven't responded me up to now.. i gave them 2 months notice period. should i go to their office and inform them about my mail. i beleived they will just ignore my mail. Thanks
Suggest you take the following steps. First, send them an email telling them you wish to terminate the house contract giving them a date when you intend to vacate the premises. If they still insist, tell them you will take the matter up with the authorities. In your next step, write a letter to the Rental Disputes Committee and submit your complaint to them. Have the letter written in Arabic. They should help you out.
