OFW vs Dollar
A Message!
I am an OFW appealing our plight on the value of our hard earned Dollars for the government consideration.
While the Philippine PESO is gaining strength against the US Dollar, I as an OFW is not benefited out of it.
My belief before is that, PESO gaining strength against the US Dollar was a welcome event to happen for all Filipinos in and out of the country.
But in my total dismay, I am saddened that while PESO is gaining strength against the US Dollar, a negative impact is slashing hard the back of every OFW, leaving an excruciating pain with the poor people in the Philippines who are in sad plight to struggle for their everyday living. The fact, the prices of prime commodities including transport fees and school tuition fees are soaring high uncontrollably.
You Filipino economists explain to the world in spite of our strong economy, OFW are in to suffer a brunt to our meager earnings by benefiting the greats who are in debt in foreign country.
Let’s take this case. When 1 US Dollar rates at P 52.00 the transport fee of 30 km distance in Iloilo is P12.00. Now that 1 US Dollar rates at P 44.80 the transport fee of the same distance is P25.00. By simple mathematical ratio and proportion, is this acceptable economic calculation
in this situation of our country strong economy?
Does the present economy benefits the OFW? Absolutely NOOOOoooooooo! !!!! Benefited are those who are indebted in dollars outside of the country at the expense of struggling OFW to earn a living for their family back home.
Are OFW bound to this policy? Don’t speak what you see, don’t say what you hear, suffer what you fell, no comments on the fact of reality because OFW are born on the wrong level of the society……Not of course. So speak up.
There are more ways to voice out grievances against economic administrators of our beloved country the Philippines . Please voice it out…we are in one OFW family. We love our country. We will support whatever good things to OFW in particular and the Philippines in general.
The only way to hear is to speak up.
