Dismayed & Disappointed Victims of Typhoon Pepeng
Just saw this in my account and I'm totally dismayed of what I read and saw(photo). As per the write-ups it happened in Benguet.We Igorots are so thankful for the extended help, sa hirap ba namang puntahan yong place…. Unfortunately the received relief clothing were unusable…di ba nila na-sort out muna ‘yong mga items before they distribute……

The People of Benguet deserves better!

The President of the Republic of the Philippines, fulfilling her mandate in serving her constituents brave the unsecured roads , the undetermined weather to show her sympathies to the people of Benguet... It was announced that the President and her team will be distributing relief items which includes used clothes and packed goods.
The People of Benguet, tired and weary, physically and in spirit patiently lined-up, eager to receive the items that will be given to them... One by one, the people received their piece. this was accompanied by a warm smile and words of comfort by the no other than the President of the Republic herself. A firm handshake and pat on the back of the victims somehow invigorated this drained people....
Eager to consume or use what was distributed to them, the people of Benguet uncovered the items just to be dismayed and disappointed with the almost rotten clothes handed to them by the President herself...
The people of Benguet deserves better!
We don't care about the Big Labels bearing her name on every relief pack, but we do care on decent items...
We don't care about the politics behind this, we do care on a decent treatment even though we are not voters of Pampamga!
To be handed with a trash in times of difficulty and pain will only double that pain! I thought this was properly sorted out in Malacanang which was handled by no other than Mikey and Luli or that was just a press release?We are not ungrateful, only we deserve better...
