What is preferable for an arab-american to study to find a good job in qatar?

First of all, thanks in advance for everyone who may comment. I recently visited a friend in Qatar, as I am now living in Saudi Arabia (I'm a Saudi-American if your wondering why). Anyway, when I visited, I fell in love with the country, the culture, the people. Not only the foreigners there are great but the Qataris themselves are unlike any people I've ever met in the middle east. So, Im going to be pursuing my higher education now (diploma, certification, bachelor's, etc) and I was really hoping that after I finish I could find a good job there & settle (maybe even bring my mom to live with me). However, I'm not sure what degree or certification would be preferable in Qatar's present status. I'm hoping to study something quick, but not limited to that. I welcome any of your opinions or comments. Once again, thanks everyone. ;)

Fishing is easy way to make money very faster with littile amount of time., since any job requirement to perfect the professional level need beyond bachelor status and ur case, u wanted to make a majical certificate so faster than what a company can risk its resources to make a productive result by employing the minimum level educated people and then the result will end in below the objective of the companies vision too.

You set a very fantastic ambition, and nationality is not such a big criterion in every organisation that makes choice of employ., but the qualification and expereince from accredited universities and valued references are most important factor that count in standard organisation. Let me say the proverb in here., if the wishes are horses then the beggers are ride on. Anyway best of luck.

I am sorry, who told you just nationalty "Arab American" will bring you jobs ?.....not any qualifications ?

Yes, there are some Qatari companies , who prefer to employ US/UK citizens as a "show piece" or to get more businsss from Western Professionals...But it will not work always

Just a thought, but come on over and study at one of the six American universities in Qatar. Get your engineering degree from Texas A&M or medical degree from Cornell and you'll have an "in" with the local job market.

Unfortunately, I found that Qatar is a highly competitive country and you get so many different nationalities with diffferent levels of education. If you really want to stand out, the most important thing is to have your College degree (Business, Engineering, Education, Medicine), however, most worthy positions really require several years of experience, references, and even post graduate studies (like your MBA, CFP, Masters or higher). That's the primary reason why my husband and I decided to return to the US to finish school-- everyone has a bachelor's these days so employees are really expendable unless they are specialized in a certain field or have advanced degrees.

Hope that helped! and Good luck!
