What can you say about the Standard of the Philippine schools here?

how young are the kids? my daughter will be KG2 in september...I did not enrol her in the Phil. school for some reasons: 'non-strategic" locations (Rayyan & Industrial Area), which makes the cost of transport higher and since it's far, kids have to wake up early and leave home at 6:30a.m. (maybe earlier, depending on your location)...they reach home late too (7:30-11:00 class, my friend's child reaches home at 2:30)...another reason is the so-called palakasan system..based on the parent's comments lang naman, but as of now, since I still have other choice, I'd rather not join the club :)

also, sabi nila, phil. schools are too crowded na (ganun?) at they lack in extra curricular activities...

PERO----they say too, that if you enrol your child in a school of different curriculum, it's more likely that they will not be admitted in some, if not all, schools in the philippines..it bothered me and so I am planning to check with Deped & CHED...pero i had classmates who attended some years abroad and when they returned to the phils., they were admitted naman..so it's really magulo...

I dunno, maybe you just have to check it yourself and decide after that...sa akin nman, if kulang ang tinuturo nila sa anak ko, ako na bahalang magpuno...that's why we are called parents di ba...

ohh...actually kung iisipin nga parang impraktikal, but hirap kasi ng magkakalayo..so i've decided to bring my kids here. Money can't replace yong mga years na lumilipas na di mo kasama ang kids...any, suggestions na ok na school aside from Phil School..na ok ang quality of education? thanks sa reply.

SUCKS! Too much pay less service 'parang' public school!!! If Qatar has public school that offers no Arabic then I will send my kids to that school.

Just imagine we pay 650 QAR/Month (Nursery, Kinder, Preparatory Level) but there is tons of miscellaneous every month so we are covering almost 800 to 1,000 QAR/Month not to mention the day care.... What to do yani!!!

Why I said it's like public school in Philippines? They always have so called 'Ambag-ambag' like but a vinyl carpet, water dispenser, school materials and much much more....

If you are planning to bring your kids here and your company does not pay for the school, I suggest not to bring them here! And if they are here and they must go to school then 'Kita kits na lang sa PTA Meetings' lol

We are just not lucky to send our kids to Cambridge or Montessori due to budget matters.

just don't expect too much....considering the fees that we are paying, standard should be at the level of ADMU (we spend at least QR10k for nursery which is grade school fees in ADMU)...but I don't think kids don't get the same quality of education....
