I am moving to Qatar in February and am planning on homeschooling my 10 year old until the following school year starts (September/October I believe). Has anyone got any advice who has done similar to this? We're moving from the uk. Also any advice on schools?

Try asking your question on expatwoman.com as there have been discussions on these topics in the past. Better to get your child's name on the waiting list for the better schools (sorry, am unfamiliar with UK curriculum schools personally) as soon as possible as the list may mean several years' wait for a place in certain grades.
