wrist watches sold in souq... original?

i have seen casio g-shock watches in souq... i wanted to buy my son a watch but had second thoughts of buying. I also have seen seiko watches that are gold plated there. i also want to buy one for my father but havent bought yet. I'm having second thoughts if the watches sold in souq is original? its because my friend bought his casio g-shock watch in city center which costs QR480. we saw the same brand and style of his watch in souq but they are selling the watch at QR320. Are those watches in souq original or just an imitation?
hislam, whether its a rolex or not, atleast i'll be taking for the worth of my money.. every singe cent counts.. well, convert it in our country's money, it worth so much.
quilter84, isn't it that malls requires a higher rent of a small store? for sure, merchandisers will take the payment of those rent through their customers so the value of material becomes high. not at all times, the place where you bought the thing matters.

The G-shock is not that type of fancy watches that you only pay because it's a brand. It is a Deep-Water resisting watch for divers. This might apply to those other "fancy" brands.

Have you ever heard the phrase 'You get what you pay for'? The price alone would suggest to me that the watches are not the genuine article. If you want the real deal go to a reputable (preferable authorised) dealer.

Since I bought from souq.Same price QR.320 since 2005 my wrist watches G-Shock until now I am using and also that is solar type. Totally proven
I want to buy a G-shock.
It has to resist water; then no big deal about its genuinity. It's not Rolex.
You can only ask to dod the test if they agree then most probably it's good.
