What kind of digital camera do you own?

Vivo Bonito
By Vivo Bonito

The only stuffs which makes life memorable in this beautiful world
is the camera. Camera technology has gone beyond imagination. And, do you
have the habit of carrying the camera wherever you go? I love to take pictures but the digital camera I have is a piece of
junk. It was great at the time we bought it but it's very very outdated
now.

Do you have an expensive model? Are you happy with the photo quality?

Dear All

What a nice discussion to have !

Still pictures have very important place in our lives.

Our memories carry mostly still pictures of our good/ bad past.

Not the video's.

Its the expressions on face of the people in past and present, the beautiful and Ugly landscapes we have seen.

The close ups of the birds, butterfiles, flowers and animals, sunrises and sunsets, rivers, lakes ,oceans pictures that stuck in our memories.

The most popoular hobby till today remains taking pictures and getting oneself photographed !

Earlier they used to paint pictures, we do today within a fraction second.

Although mediums of taking pictures have changed, the fundamentals of photography remain the same.

About me, before 15 years i started with

Cosina CT-1

Nikon FM 10

Nikon F 60 + Nikkor 300 F4

Nikon F 90 X

Nikon D 70

SB 600

Last month I changed over to Canon system from Nikon.

( Debatable thing ! )

Now i have Canon 30 D, thanx to qatarliving !

Canon 100-400 IS L F 3.5-4.5

Sigma 17-35 F2.8

Canon Flash 430 EX

My everyday camera: Canon Powershot A530. From Carrefour last year. I take this everywhere! It has taken 100s of shots of dd.

My car camera: Kodak DC215. I keep it ready on my lap when I'm driving to picture crazy drivers OR scare drivers who do dumb things.

For example, I flash dangerous passers who move to opposing lane even in small 2-lane road. This has worked a few times. The crazy drivers have instantly moved back into their original lane instead of passing.

After having owned several Canon point-and-shoot cameras, I finally shifted to a Nikon DSLR. I love both Canon (the best brand for P&S) and Nikon (the best brand for DSLR). Any decent digital camera will suffice in capturing these memorable moments. I never leave home without it - you might even have seen me already rounding Doha with that shoulder camera bag. LOL. =D

The sony 5 mega pixel camera is good for still shots but not for action shots, also is really good for macro shots and is easy to carry anywhere. You don't need lots of megapixels unless you intend on enlarging your pics to big sizes.

Before:

My sixth upgrade, and fourth model... has/have always been a Canon.

Look how funny my upgrade path is: Canon PowerShot A410, first A430, second A430,

first A460, second A460, and (currently) a Canon PowerShot A550.

No wonder, I have lots of free SD cards. Haha!

After:

I was planning to purchase my dream camera - a Canon PowerShot S5 IS, but with a small price difference, went for the Nikon D40 instead.

Now, I'm a Nikon user!

Snowyowl, It's a good camera- but Panasonic service senter is useless, I have a camera that they have had for over a year- They are trying to repair what they broke themselves(after changing out the CCD on warranty).

I really hope you will have better luck than me with them(luckily I have so many other cameras that I don't care about this one)

I got a Nikon D2Xs, a Nikon D1, a Olympus E1, A Contax 300sl, a Panasonic L1, A Leica D-Lux 3, a Sony T50, and a Olympus E10 plus several lenses for the Nikons and the Olympus E1.

The D2Xs is the King of DSLR and I am extremely happy with it. (Dreaming of a D3 though)

i have Sony Cybershot T-100. i have this since it was released in the market. i am always happy with it. until i got my Nikon D40 DSLR cam. i thought of selling my point-and-shoot camera, but im glad i didnt. there are advantages also of having a small one. you cannot always bring along your DSLR. so its good to have this little buddy in my bag.

i am happy with both and i think il keep for long.
