I like Paneer more than tofu. Try cooking the same tofu dishes using Paneer or Peynir cheese instead.

Other than the Family Food Center, you also can buy tofu at the Jakarta Indonesian Market across from the airport. If you get there at the right time, the tofu is still fresh and hot. Another Indonesian market where you can buy tofu is Qatindo, across from the downtown bus terminal.

you can stir fry it...

or it depends on how you want it to be, spicy, sweet, saucy or salty...whatever...its a great substitute for meat speacially if you are on a diet or gyming so that you will gain lots of protein.

you can also get tofu from lulu hyper and shoprite.

i usually get mt weekly supply from there as i'm a big fan of tofu dishes.

in lulu, it;s located at the open fridge section facing the cold cuts counter and at shoprite....its where the cheeses are.

Diet Shop is expensive, yes. So, South Beach or Dr. Atkins' dishes may be of more popularity.

In fact, any healthy diner will be a good idea. Most of the customers may be expats, not necessarily locals.

I've been looking for tofu since forever!! Thank you all!!I used it to decorate some of my sweet dishes with it, if I couldn't find it I would put the sugar syrup found in packets inside the "cream caramel" ready to cook boxes..you know these.. It tastes nothing like tofu though hehehe.. I have no idea why I replace it with it :-D awww I'm crazy, anywayyy...

The Pie Filling\topping is also difficult to find sometimes..I even end up putting jello and canned fruite on top of my cheese cake :-)
