i think making family day on Friday is unfair for bachelors, because most of the expats here are single. and they have only one day vacation, and that is Friday. if all malls and shopping centers are opened for family only on Friday, then where singles go. where they relax and enjoy their vacation.

if it is necessary to make a family day then why they don't chose some other day like Thursday, or Saturday.

There are permanent sign boards on each entrance of City Centre (FAMILY DAY)

City centre is always specified for families on Fridays and Holidays 10Am to 10PM. In Landmark, Lulu, Hayat Plaza I didn't see any such a thing. Villagio, sometime they allow, sometimes not, I didn't realize the behaviour of Security there.

One thing I noticed, even in City Centre or Villagio, Locals are always allowed, as nobody can dare to stop them even. But if you are well dressed, the security will not stop you.

Yes, Fridays are family days in all the malls here but depends on the guard on duty. Some allow any bachelors while some allow bachelors of certain nationalities only. Try your luck.

I never saw "Bachelors Not Allowed Today" type signboard at any shopping mall so far, but yes, the Security Guards at some big malls like City Centre, etc do not let the the single guys enter on Fridays/Holidays.

Don't know the criteria, but they never stopped me !! :-)
