HP, although I've only had mine for a short time. They had a good deal at Carrfour in City Centre a few weeks back.......unsure if it's still on though.

Go for an HP.  I've have had mine now aprox. for 2 years and have dropped it twice and have travelled all over with it.  I'd swear by the brand!

Cheers!

u may check Carrefour too, either Villaggio or City Centre...

they have less price compare to Jarir...

in Sofitel still stands pricier than malls ...

so go either Carrefour or Giant Store in Hyatt Plaza

for your budget,  either Acer or Compaq is highly recommended.

u can have almost the specifications you're wanting

than taking any other brands.

HP and Dell is comparatively pricier for the same specs you can get,.

but wait.. there's more... here's some tips...

take the product features in each of the model and compare...

for just relatively little difference on pre-installed hardwares...

say with cam or other is without pre installed cam, some stuffs are not

necessarily important... there is bit bigger difference in prices...

just be sure of the processor is either dual core

or equivalent... you're on the trend.

i may recommend to you.. DELL 1520...

thats the best unit you could get out from your budget...

just check the product features and compare

with of the rival brands in its class...

u may self determine then which sounds appealling

and functional to your purpose..

if you reroute your choice to either Acer or Compaq..

surely you would have much more specs to get out from your budget.

For the personal use and for the budget Acer would be better choice as u would more features with it .. Dell is defenitely a good product but it pricer than Acer .. as for the spec P4, 512 MB or higher RAM, 64 MB or higher graphic card, good sound system, TFT screen, bluetooth, WIFI, DVD-RW would do
