Shop Qatar, Qatar’s first ever shopping festival, will come to a successful end tomorrow with a wide range of live entertainment events at the finale show at the Mall of Qatar. The conclusion of the first edition of the month-long festival will feature a live concert by the Iraqi-Saudi superstar, Majid Al Mohandes, and a final raffle draw which will make one fortunate shopper a millionaire.

The show will be presented by TV presenter, Hassan al Sai, and comedian, Mohammad Al Tamimi and will kick off with Mohandes performance, and will include a Palestinian Dabka, Qatari Ardha and an Indian show. All performances will be enhanced with special effects.

The shopping festival which featured promotions and weekly raffle draws that gave away more than QAR.2.4 million in cash will wind up with a final draw with a cash prize of QAR.1 million. There will be cash prizes varying from QAR.20,000 up to QAR.120,000 for 14 other winners. Shoppers can still participate in the draw if they spend QAR.200 at participating retail, beverage and food outlets in Shop Qatar’s retail partners that make up Mall of Qatar, Hyatt Plaza, Lagoona Mall, Landmark, Ezdan Mall, Gulf Mall, The Gate, Al Khor Plaza, Dar Al Salam Mall and The Pearl-Qatar.

The first edition of Shop Qatar has been well-received by Qatari residents and visitors, and has been a huge success. The shopping festival which has given the title ‘A Brand New Tradition’ started on January 7, 2017 and was organized by the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA).  QTA’s goal was to draw a huge number of locals, expats and tourists to visit the festival which included discounts, promotions, big prizes along with lots of activities, shows and entertainment, and gave local start-ups an opportunity to build their brands so they could be instrumental in diversifying Qatar’s economy.
