I have just bought the ps3 with 250gb storage, i have created a psn account and i choosed qatar to be the country.

I am not able to log into psn, nor ps store to download any add ons.

A message appears telling me that this service is not available in ur region?

i usually buy my games at ROTANA music store in hyatt plaza. and canvassing at technical suport center also in hyatt. and i think ROTANA has the great value prices. maybe because its supplied from dubai not direct from US. i bought my assasin creed for 195qr then i saw in virgin records its about 270 its almost a 100 dude.

new games in qatar cost A LOT. its too expensive! 60 bucks is not 310 - 400 QR. when mgs4 came, i look for most videogame store. the only cheap one i seen is on wonderworld, which is 310 qr and the game is only 3 days old from the day i bought it. so i guess wonderworld has the best deal in qatar. i dont know the place is location, hehe sorry

What's funny about that? You can buy the cable in all the usual places you can buy electronics equipment and cables. I'm sure you don't need them listed yet again. And you can pay anything from a few riyals to a few hundred riyals.

PAL and NTSC aren't regions, they're TV signal formats. I've heard reports of some games not working on alternate systems. Also, movies may not play on the wrong system. Google it, there's a fair bit of discussion on it.

I don't think he means 'cut' as in file size! He means 'cut' as in bits that the xbox couldn't handle from a technology point of view. I'm not sure if that's the case though.

rockstar didnt cut anything anything from the game because of xbox......gta4 is 6.3 gigs and the dvd9`s full capacity is 8.5 gigs...so there was plenty of space for more....the only game for ps3 which took advantage of blue ray was MGS4....every single other ps3 game could fit on a 8.5gig dvd9

all the games u mentioned above was originally designed for the xbox 360 then copied to the PS3.. that's why they get Higher score & face some issues on the PS3..

if they design the game on the PS3 then move em to XBOX 360.. they won't work..

so they have to limit the game to the xbox engine.. coz the PS3 can handle anything..

GTA4 producers said that they had to cut alot from the game so they fan make it fit the xbox 360..

the xbox 360 won't be able to survive this console wars for another 2 or 3 years..

PS3 will live till they invent something better than Cell Processor & Blue Ray driver..

yes, it does play DivX format... you can store it on the ps3 hard disk or you can play it on a usb flash drive to your ps3.

Mmmm...that would be illegal, so I wont be doing that for you. I don't see why it wouldn't work though, since it will be an exact copy.

PS3 has it's own harddrive so no need for usb or flash, but as it happens I streamed it over the wireless network from my laptop, using TVersity. TVersity will convert any divx format into the correct one for PS3, on the fly.

i mean.. if i rent a DVD & copy it using NERO on my PC then return the DVD to the store..

will i be able to watch the copy over & over again on the PS3..

Do you mean divx (i.e. the films you download illegally) or an actual like-for-like copy of a dvd?

I've played divx from the harddrive on mine no probs, but I understand it doesn't work with all versions of the divx codec.

still no advice about the PS3 being able to play copied DVDs..

dont judge to its score... socom is fun, well, if you like tactical shooter, not spray and pray... must of the issues before are been solve from the latest patch.... kinda like warhawk from it's first week. gta4 sux, imo. if you like fps... choose between r2 and cod5... btw, cod4 is still pretty much alive... and if you want mgs4, i think someone here is selling it.

You need to buy a PS3 that states on the back that it has backward compatability. This means it will play most PS2 games. I used to sell them in the U.K. so I know this is true. I saw them in The Rotana shop in Hyatt Plaza.

If you mean normal tv as in standard tv then I think you can enjoy it but be sure to buy a PAL unit and region 2 discs so that it would work..

New PS3s wont play PS2 games because they removed the PS2 "emotion engine" chip. Not sure why - probably to save money.

im selling my ps3 with 2 games and one controller for 2000.its 60 gb and the controller is wireless.it will play only original ps2 games .im selling mine with 2 games free.

All PS3s play all PS3 games of all regions but they don't play PS2 games neither original nor copys (except the old PS3 models they play some original PS2 games only)

Also u should know that PS3s in Qatar are PAL so they only play PAL dvd movies and Region 2 bluray movies (european bluray)

as for the prices u may find special offers in Carrefour, but I go to Technical Care Center for a big range of games and hardware

Also 40, 60 and 80 are a matter of how u play games and download content to your PS3, they r different in price of course.
