Could you mention the average cost of a women's t-shirt in Qatar. Normal brand.

Another vote for massimodutti.

There's also a store at that mall near the Lulu on D Ring. I can't remember the name of the mall or the shop, but it's large and has a decent amount of designer men's clothes. Granted, most are D&G and Versace pieces that are even too gaudy for Versace, but there is some decent stuff.

The other answer, of course, is: Dubai.

if you look clothes for something smart like office look, then go to paris moda and pierre cardin in city center. they not that expensive and always have some discount going. or go to villagio mall today, more shops are open. have plenty selection of men clothes there now.

The Villagio is now, in my opinion, the best place to go clothes shopping. They've opened up more stores and a bunch more are set to open in the near future.

Royal Plaza, eh, not really worth the trip.

The shopping here is not the best, anywhere. In choosing among the shopping centers (I haven't gone to Royal Plaza yet), I think Landmark has the best shopping, in terms of clothes for women. I've been to City Center, Villagio, The Mall, Hyatt Plaza, as well as Centre Point and they've been kind of a let-down.

With that said, I can't wait until H&M opens up at the Villagio

they have more unique things, at least for women

and as to the male salespeople, they're a bit snooty...the women are far nicer

ooo i agree with you 100%. have you gone to a party and seen someone wearing the same top or dress as you? I try to shop outside of Doha as much as possible or get them stitched. Debenhams in city center is good but at times limited. Hopefully, after all the stores are opened in Villagio we will have more choice.

massimodutti in landmark for smart clothes, there are some nice jeans and t shirt shops in there too, and Marks and spencers for ordinary stuff.

its not like at home but you just got ta make the most of it...or do what the wise man said, and shop online

I’d like to stress that no, it is no fun to shop in Doha if you are a woman, in fact it is depressing at times : (

There is no decent men's clothes in Qatar. Even formal shirts are not available here.

johnjo, you can go to Guess shop in Royal Plaza which is in Al Sadd Street, or you can always make getaway weekend trip to Dubai for more collection. What kind of clotes you looking for anyway? mind if I asking?

Pothole: a woman, a gay or a lebanese. Zara in Doha (and only in Doha) looks like uniform store for lebanese pimps. Just look at their sales staff.

John - Here's a tip. Get yourself a Shop & Ship account from Aramex and shop online.

Even with all the risks associated with shopping online (fit, size etc.) I sure do prefer it to local shopping.

To actually enjoy clothes shopping in Doha, I think you need to be a woman or gay. I'm neither, so it's Amazon.com and Aramex for me.

... and you are a guy! Did you check out women's clothes? … but at least we have pennyblack ;)

I went into Salams and Blue Salon. I almost laughed myself out of the door. The clothes looked like European Designs fron five years ago. Rayon is not sexy :-)

Act your age not your shoe size

Pennyblack has very nice clothes, it’s part of the Max Mara group, but it's just for women …

For men's clothes check Blue Salon and Salam, they both have sales on now ...
