Marks & Spencer SALE starts tomorrow!!!

Good morning QL!

What a lovely morning with sun shinning!

My favorite place for shopping M&S will be on SALE as of tomorrow... M&S SALE is really good and offers great value for money however it does not cover everything they have. The think which I do not like is the fact they close their fitting rooms for the first day of SALE but keeping in mind their great exchange and refund policy; I buy whatever I like, try them at home and whatever does not fit I bring it back and I get full refund. Before there was no time limit for returning goods, now they made it 90 days which I guess is more than enough!

Alas, the Kindergarten teacher in me should probably check that out. There's never enough "dowdy" in my wardrobe.

Hey Spicemom - did I tell you I love your cyber name by the way! Real cool !

I love Zara and M&S as well as Top shop. So if they are cheaper than KUL then I dont have to stock up from here. Phew - what a relief to hear somethings are cheaper!!!

Just henna'd my hair by the way and asked the hair stylist if I could take one year's of stock with me to Qatar!!! Now I have this red highlights streaked through my mane.

Ciao

Hi,

Yes, M&S clothing here is cheaper than Far East. For long sleeve white shirts, they cost around QR110 per pack of 2 here. In HK M&S, the same line costs QR85 per pc.

Foodstuffs, unfortunately, are similarly pricey.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Apparently some signals must have gotten crossed somewhere, to come up with that conclusion. As I said, it makes no sense. I drove by there today at 10.25 on my way to work, and the Villaggio carpark was chock-a-block already. So it's quite obviously not an unpopular shopping venue...

the one who told you go break his jaw and tell him show me the proof.

You know, I heard a strange rumor the other day at work. Someone told me that Villaggio wasn't meant to be a permanent mall, and there are tentative plans to demolish it in 2-3 years' time.

Which makes no sense whatsoever. Why, then, would new stores be opening up there... that Macaroni pseudo-Italian shop just opened, a Krispy Kreme is going in there from 1 February, and, yeah, I can totally see a Marks & Sparks going in too.

But anyway.

What? They close their fitting room for the first day of the sale? I've not heard of that, I'm afraid. Is this a Marks & Sparks general store policy, or a enhanced-by-Doha policy?

M&S is located only in Landmark Mall but I heard they are opening a new store in Villaggio by mid 2008...

With regards to clothing; I guess it's a matter of taste... Not everybody would like or dislike everything...

their style is rather conservative and elder people oriented...you know that they had to close their stores in Ontario as it didn’t go really well there?

It's of absolutely no interest, M&S got the most boring clothes you can find in Qatar, but you all go there and i go in other shops :)
