MANGO in City Center full of thieves
Beware if you are going to MANGO Shop in City Center, and if you happen to forget your mobile phone or any other expensive item in the fitting room; the Filipino women, the employees working there, won´t lose their time in stealing anything they find on their way; it happened to me today 22 August, 2 hours ago (9pm) in City Center. I went to buy a blouse, but I tried other clothing so I left my mobile down for a while, when I was trying the clothing on. At the time of paying for the new blouse, I realized I left the mobile inside the fitting room, and when I told the filipino women to check the rooms, SURPRISE!, the mobile was not there anymore. In 1 MINUTE!, it dissapeared!, ha ha ha!. So since I´m a European woman who knows how to fight for her own rights, I told the security guard, even the employees, to better find my mobile if the didn´t want me to call the police. The one they TRIED to stole was a European Mobile, but what they didnt know is that I had another mobile from my company with me, because I´m working HERE, he he :), so after asking the kind thieve from MANGO about the police number, and after she refused to give it to me, OF COURSE, I called a friend of mine, who was luckly at City Center also, so he came directly to Mango, we argued with the Security Guard, we insisted in no leaving the shop till they find the mobile, and warning to call the police again, and SUDDENLY, OH-LA-LÁ, the mobile appeared!, ha ha ha, Obviously the woman who took it felt scared and she decided to give it back to me; after arguing, and shouting at them, and calling INEPT to the security guard, who did NOTHING to help. Finally I got my mobile back and I told the employees I would never come back to that shop full of thieves & incompetent people!. The Lebanese lady runing the shop told me the mobile was mixed with the garments. HA, SURE!. It was one of her employees who took it, because at the beggining, she double checked "THE GARMENTS" and the rest of the clothing, and OH!, it wasnt there!´, but HEY!, they finally found it!, yes, guys!, it was "mixed with the garments", HA HA HA!. What a nuch of shameless people. I double checked all the fitting rooms, and it wasn´t there. Anyway, and finally and thanks to my persistence and my very good friend who fought with me there, there was a HAPPY ENDING :). And you heard that the Middle East was a safe place where nobody tried to steal anything. This confirms that is only bull-s-h-i-t. BE WARNED!
this europeani... is just another rubbish racist!
what if she is the sales lady or owns a shop and a europeani or qatari woman stole an item from her shop???
Will she rant over this here in QL??????????????? of course not!!!! what an idiot!
some europeanis and qataris steal as well, esp that they think they wont be punished as they are far more superior than other nationalities here in ME.
stealing is also a sickness! its like their hands are itching to take/grab something they badly want. and it can exist to any human being, any race..!!!
Good message to all here
just forget about the comments and abuses from others who never faced such situations in their life ever .
Some are trying to mix up sugar into honey by abusing you .
i really appreciate your boldness and the courage shown.

LOL @ Booooo jasim
You think you are so tough sitting behind that computer.
Shame on you for threatening a girl. What kinda man are you?....wait are you even a man?
and one who is trying to get all the Filipinas upset (which she has succeeded at).
Qatar is generally very safe from things like this but crime can happen anywhere. Filipinas are no more inclined to be thieves than any other nationality. Being forgetful of your belongings for a minute doesn't give anyone a license to steal.
And bo-Jassim was being sarcastic so don't fly off the handle and tell him to shut up. I liked his response ;)
shutup? how old are you?
grow up a bit and try to watch your mouth. and to be honest the way you talk now really proved where you come from.
try to respect the forum and the users here.
if you dont understand what i am saying pm me to discuss this matter in private.
I recently did something crazy, I crazy-glue five pesos into the cement sidewalk.
The next morning, I walk down to check the five pesos, for my own surprise, the PERSONS, ALL HAVE SLANTED EYES, they dug up the cement around the five pesos. They got the five pesos, but what they don't know the five pesos was defaced by me in the back, to expose the raw metal which makes it better adhesive to the cement.
Most of the european phones are either made or assembled in china, taiwan, or japan.
European ? huh ! capitalists, they go and create some sweatshops in Asia after they come and teach the world about Business ethics and values.
First you created a scene because YOU LOST your "European Phone", then you demanded everybody to look for what YOU lost, and when they found it, you ACCUSED them of stealing. How "European"!!!
so...what if its really true that it mixed up with the garments and you accused them of stealing it...don't you think it shameless of you hah?! always think on the other side of the story...
Jassim, Booo! stupid comment. better shut up!
so i understand from her that because shes European she knows everything and i understand that Qatar is not very safe i have to becareful when i raise my children here.
and especially becareful from filipinos.
this is funny, one incident and Qatar is not safe for one mobile phone been stolen.
god bless her - visit Mango in UK its very safe place you can even store all your belongings for a week or two for free only if there were no filipinos there.
You can post your stupid story here (because your stupid...left your things unattended) to warn us...if your really just trying to warn us then you should not include the nationality of the person because it can affect other people but for me your such an as..hole for trying to ruin the Filipino nationality...
it is really nice of a person that warn us from harm.... but the problem is that she pinpoint one nationality and one incident that she doesn't have an evidence if its really true... she said that the saleslady is a Filipino and she said she stole it....!!!! The Question is Are you Sure?!!! "Don't judge the book by its cover unless you read it all the way till the end"!!! if she understand this quote then probably she will definitely ask for forgiveness for us Filipino!!! because what she post here is that shes trying to tell everyone that Filipino are thieves....your the one who is really a bull S- h- i- t
Oryx - i dont think so.Instead their Mangoes wud be plucked out :-)))
hopefully give the staff a pay rise....
Wonder what wud happen if Mango franchisee read this !
maybe that mobile in made of White Gold surrounded by Diyamante de calibre... it's very stunning that's why...
Or maybe a 5110i...which is very rare to find :/
First you created a scene because YOU LOST your "European Phone", then you demanded everybody to look for what YOU lost, and when they found it, you accused them of stealing. How "European"
Lesson 1
Filipinos, never help European Ladies and never touch their european phones, be satisfied with your iphones and blackberries plus roaming units. let the security and the police do their job. and let the guilty be punished.
and yes dracula, you are correct
"Methinks the Americans are guilty and all it's a jewis conspiracy against european mobile phones."
Good posts!
Madam European Lady!
I find all your narration sarcastic and disgusting, for-
(1) Unless proven you can not blame someone innocent (yes unless proven one is innocent) as thief; disgusting because you used nationality over name of individuals.
(2) Your entire narration is full of some hollow pride, you meant here that if you are a European you have right, courage and special privilege to threaten/ fight/ spread hatred against communities/other nationalities.
(3) What right do you have to term individuals as Filipino or Lebanese and naming them as thieves??
(4) A sheer negligence and not caring for your own belongings and instead you feeling sorry for yourself you are blaming others????? That’s what I find it all sarcastic and disgusting!!!
(5) What if someone say bad about a European, how will you feel now????, by the way which Europe you belong to east or west???
(6) Instead calling names you should have called police and let them decide who’s the real culprit of creating scene – a careless lady or the staff at work ????
I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment that "all's well that ends well." I had a similar incident with a pair of sunglasses. It took a very unpleasant confrontation with the manager, security and the repeated mention of police before my sunglasses were "found" in the wastebasket. This idea that a momentarily unprotected item is fair game for theft just isn't in my book of ethics and I resent being told it is all my fault for being so careless. My actions do NOT condone your criminal behavior any more than wearing revealing clothes means a woman consents to harassment or rape.
Mandi
that's serious accusation? Who are inside Mango at that time, are those included? Just asking!
for me?
then y is your name qatar qatari.. ?
god knows u really u lost your mobile n found it again..
or you might have kept in such a place that u cant find n the workers of mango found it easily.. ;-)
coz i still believe qatat is safest place..
serious accusations and can be use against.... hope that the Mango Management don't use this as a black propaganda against their company.
Hmm you are really a European, i thought you cannot mention nationalities here. So European_Europeani its done, its all over, we heard it, all your friends heard it & half of qatar heard it by now. We know how smart & quick wit you & your 'luckily in city centre' friend are so now lets move on.
@ foryousantro Yup it really is very annoying how bluntly they talk in their language making you feel odd. In US it is against the rules to do such things & it can fire you. So all beloved filipino readers please keep this in mind if you eventually make it to US :-D
doesn't mean everyone deserved your rant. Anyway, your complaint is very much NOTED!
CCTV inside dressing room !!! Better u fix it there & I will sit in front of the monitor whole day long.......lol
foryousantro
uneducated...not un educated
all the time..not all the times
there's no such language as "Filipina"
"tam ata yueh tama vo tan mama yeh yeh yeh "
more so..i can't even distinguish the above language as one of those from our country. ( i speak and write 5 different Philippine languages, english, spanish and welsh)
you may want to look at your english grammar first..=P
my two cents..
cheers!
-Nasa sa atin ang Pagbabago-
you are one lucky fool, in some other countries thieves wont hesitate to blow your brains out to steal your 'european' mobile
Foryousantro - Come here. Cool down now. :) Maybe your husband looks like a Filipino. :)
Take care of your personal belongings is an age old caution. It avoids embarassing yourself, others and creating a scene, let alone disrupting business of a reputable brand.
Let this be a lesson for all careless people.
MORAL LESSON OF THE STORY
- Don't leave your phone unattended in Mango, however it is also important to note that you may leave your phone unattended in any other shops except Mango.
-and of prime importance to add here is that all women MUST be European because European women know how to fight for her own rights!
=P
- Nasa sa atin and Pagbabago-
She posted/ranted here on QL which is a public forum...of course people here will comment/opinion of the subject matter.
What do you expect to get here...sympathy and a quorum that Qatar is an unsafe place?
FYI...jasminehjasmine, another QLer here lost her (signature) bag with all her stuff in it, you know ...ID's, credit card, wallet and personal effects in Landmark. Someone returned her bag..everything in it.
So...a European brand mobile getting lost in a small shop such as MANGO and telling people this and that nationality is this and that...you'll definitely getting a mixed reaction here.
what is this European mobile nonsense? Do you want to say you have two mobile phones? It doesnt make much of a difference for your incompetence.
Definitely a zionist conspiracy.
Why give this poor girl a hard time? She accidentally mislaid her mobile, remembered it a minute later and had to put up a ridiculous amount of fuss cause of bad employees. Yes it happens elsewhere, yes she made a mistake, yes in some countries she would be killed for it and a bag of rice. But . . . she's here, a rich country with a low crime rate and she is giving us a reminder about being careful. Thanx qatar_qatari. Im new and appreciate the warning. Glad you got your phone back :)
Finder's keepers, losers weepers.
Hufff!! so much hoopla around a MOBILE...
It's good that you got your mobile at last either by hook or crook way...:)
shouldn't your mobile be inside your bag? I noticed most of people here (local or not) are not careful with their belongings. Even in food courts, they leave their bags/phones on the table & go take their orders. For me, that's irresponsible considering that this is a public place. In our country we do mind our own things (unless you're really sick of robbing people). However, maybe Azi has a point if she sound defensive as your tone of story is very subjective to a certain nationality & generalizing the issue to a single incident. Of course, we understand your rant over the matter, but shouldn't you consider also what you post?
On the brighter side, good thing you have found it.
Nomad...you ought not to use the word 'twat'. It isn't very nice.Look it up in dictionary.I see it used quite a lot on this site.
will yes it's a very safe place comparing to Europe but if you left it unattended for sure someone will take it away, if you were in Europe there is a probability of 0.001% that you can get it back i can guarantee you, even after calling the police even the police may steal from you in France or Greece and so on...
Source: a stolen mobile phone once in UK and the other in France.
And it's not the Filippinas working in Mango ;)
Is mango season over in Qatar??????:)
she is saying that they steal it but in europe countries they take everything from you on gun point especially in USA & England & Australia. even they will kill u if u donot do SO........................ donot blame Qatar For only few dollars they do this mobile is a big thing then. be careful next time
"all fingers are not of equal size of ur hand".
Mango are sour?
There's a lot of angle to see in this scenario and before you go haywire on me...we need to know that European brand if its worth stealing or be coveted of.
You see, salesladies in shops are not even allowed to have anything in their pockets, much less a cellphone coz its distracts them from their work. That's the protocol here...
If you're talking about MANGO in City Centre, I think there are other nationalities working there as well, aside from the Filipino women that you mentioned. So, pinpointing one nationality not being trustworthy WITHOUT PROOF is considered as LIBEL and MORAL DEFAMATION which is subject to the law, you even be jailed for that. I'm sure, the laws here in Qatar are the same where you came from?
It's not that I'm defending my own race (me being a Filipina)but my race are partial to a particular brand or two that are well known back home. I myself got 7 cellphones myself: 2 Sony Ericsson hidden in my bedside drawers, 3 Nokias that are company phonesand 2 LG phones for my personal use and to think I'm just an office employee...not earning that much :)
Another thing, fitting rooms are the busiest part of the shop where ever you go. Most especially nowadays (Ramadan and summer) wherein majority of shoppers do their shoppings at night when the weather is less humid and store hours are longer.
And based from experience, most women that uses the fitting room just dumps the clothes they tried on in a pile on the floor or to the nearest rack/basket. And the sales ladies/store clerks picks up those piles and dumps them to the basket for sorting and refolding when the shops closes.
Your mobile might have dropped amongst the pile of clothes you tried on
So you see, unless you had your mobile dusted for fingerprinting...you could never pinpoint anyone in that store as a thief.
If you got proof/evidence...the culprit will go behind bars and gets deported.
My opinion...
Do they have CCTV in the changing room as well?
J/K
I guess u shudnt jugde de Whole Middle east by dis onli incident ...
I dont know about Mango procedures but in shops like Zara you should:
1. report to management
2. they will check their cctv cameras
forgetting a mobile phone is quite common and shouldn't be such a fuss
All's well that ends well...
Methinks the Americans are guilty and all it's a jewis conspiracy against european mobile phones.
can we get CSI Qatar onto this case?
if you leave ur door open and xpect people not to steal from your house then its called foolishness ... m not justifying any one here.. you wouldn't gone through all this if you were a lil more careful about your stuff.
anyways i guess you will be more cautious after this experience. *PEACE*
Hahaha abhi chhod deta hoon. Too long, not in the mood to type so much...
WK...sure... (I will not say that here...you already know what!!!!)...)
why do you point at particular nationality, every one from that nationality are crooks, ofcourse, i am not from that nationality.
Another racial bashings
it happens every where, even in europe also, you can't generalize one particular country or region in that case...
You are right; it was my mistake for forgetting the mobile on the fitting room, but don´t justify their behaviour. That is called stealing in my country. BESIDES, it is ironic how the employees working in these shops, even the security guards, are normally looking at everybody entering a shop, as suspicious people, as if they were to steal something, when in this case it has been right the OPPOSITE situation!, :), the people working there are the ones stealing!. I just wanted to share my experience, to avoid anybody else go through the same.
Now you know what type of people are working there.
Thank you everybody for your comments :)
happy can I tell one real life incident here about losing mobile in a shop?? :-P
So you think only european ladies know how to fight for there right.. You are over reacting.. So what if you are european.. You behave just like a frog of a small river who never see a sea...
Was the fitting room cleared off the clothing you were trying on in that 1 min. in which time your mobile seems to have disappeared.
BTW didnt get as to how your European mobile and the other mobile fit into the whole scheme of things!!!
it's your mistake ... you are supposed to take care of your personal belongings and i suppose you read a similar note inside fitting rooms.
so next time don't leave your personal belongings for others to take advantage...
happy shopping!
I did it; even the Lebanese lady did it also with her mobile phone, but we couldn't hear anything because of the noise, there was some kind of music band on the floor below, in City Center, and a lot of people inside the shop, so it would have been a miracle if I had been able to hear the ringing!
Anyway, I finally got it back, that´s what it counts :)
Why didn't you call it with your other phone?
LOL Mobile re-appeared???
Once you start something, you should carry it through :)
They chickened out half way.
