Largest Monoprix in the world now open at Doha Festival City
The French are not known for hypermarket culture, but it’s certainly a growing phenomenon in Qatar.
At the recently opened Doha Festival City (DFC), the world’s largest Monoprix—the swankier French version of a hypermarket—has also opened its doors. It’s just one of nearly 500 retail brands that were planned for opening at DFC, but is a great place to shop, especially for healthier food choices.
The offerings are similar to the smaller outlet in Dafna (but on a much larger scale), with an excellent cheese section and a variety of organic and gluten-free products.
The store also boasts an authentic French bakery, with an excellent selection of bread, cakes and pastries.
DFC's Monoprix is open from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 9:00 am till midnight from Thursday to Saturday.

It's a nice store with lots of choices. Hopefully the ventilation system in and around the fish counters is improved. It smells "fishy" which is not attractive. And it shouldn't smell fishy if the fish is fresh and stored properly
