Dear Reader,

I would like to know how much gram gold can a Male or Female carry from Doha to Mumbai, in Coin or Biscuit form, without any duty fees.

I know that in ornament form there are limits like Male can carry till 50000 Indian Rupees and Female till 1 lakh Indian Rupees. But I am interested to know in Coin or Biscuit form.

Also please share your experiences at airport about carrying gold to India. I would also be thankful if you can suggest me are branded stores like Kalyan/Malabar Jewellers good or shall I buy gold from Shops at Gold Souq. Any precautions to be taken while buying gold in Doha?
