Hardware Stores

I am looking for some cement hangers, to hang pictures on our walls. A friend gave me a great little kit from Carrefour, but out of the 20 pieces I can only use 3. Does anyone know where I can buy these little bits loose rather than in pre-packs. They are plastic posts with metal prongs.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

It's an old dorm room trick. These hangers you're describing will pull out chunks of concrete when you remove them, an ugly sight.

Too Funny.

What you are describing is how we hang pictures at home in Canada...into wood and drywall. These concrete walls were a little new to us and weren't sure if we would crack them.

Thanks for the advice.

Screws.

Drill the hole, get a plastic plug (you can find them at most supermarkets, stick it into the hole you've just drilled then put in the screw as far as you need. If you need to remove it just unscrew it and you can fill in the hole with anything white, even toothpaste!

had some in packs of 7...(what is with these odd numbers for packaging.

Thanks for responding....just out of curiosity, when you drilled the holes...what did you put in them to hang pictures on. I have already chipped the walls, so would be interested in other ideas.

Cheers.

Never seen them sold individually, only in packs. I used them once. When you remove them they tear up the wall. Now I use a drill. Much simpler to fill in the holes.
