Do you do any regular shopping there? Are prices really that cheaper for everyday things like soap, dishwashing liquid, kitchen napkins?. I f any one has specific comparison please share them with us.
The only stuff I buy from there is cleaning stuff, like brush..mop..scrub.. buckets, plastic containers are also good..Small carpets looks good but not the same quality as we get in Home center and Homes R us.
There is a wide range of carpets and beautiful home decors in 'Doha city'.
D4W...being single I dont need to do much of shopping except for some food which mostly comes from megamart/ Almeera or gas for the car....thats why I may not know many places to shop for household..though I may know many places to hangout over the weekends or to grab a bite...:)
Anyways...thanks... will lookout for harees shop too if I get lost otherwise...:)
happygolucky its in the Airport road next to HOTshot, next to the LG Showroom, next to the Pirelle Tyreshop, next to the BIG GYM....hope u r guided well...:)
Its worth a once in a few months visit. Worth for those "back to school" times sorta like Rawnaq. And when you wan't to revamp your home a bit without spending a fortune. As for groceries I would just stick to the tried and tested brands from Lulu, Mega Mart and Giant Stores. I suppose its just me but I find shopping for foodstuff from places like Ramez and NWC a real no no!
for items that are consumable it is not the right place to go but for plates, bowls, plastic ware, rugs, decorations, school supplies its ok but you should inspect the item carefully :)
I bought the best quality non-stick,heavy weight sauce pans and frying pan that I have ever had! They are superb and only cost 300QR for the lot.Sadly they don't have any more in stock at the moment or I'd get more! I really don't think they knew just how good they are,or maybe the price was wrong....either way,I got a great bargain!!!
I would suggest that you make a trip there and check it out for yourself. Some people manage to find good bargains there others prefer to shop somewhere else.. only you will know what you need and if what you are looking for is there....
Well you win some you lose some more...there are loads of stuff you can find at Ramez that are actually cheaper, or one time use, or just might last longer.
correct very as very poor quality they have,,,i used to go as well but i finished my shopping w/ empty handed wasting time only,,all rubish,, excuse me....but its true...before i could say yes but now a days,,,all useless.....
one of my friends bought a rug from there and so far I have never seen anything as good in Doha... and I have even gone looking at The One, HC and HRUs too, but none to match that one... the best part is he paid ony QAR100 for it :-(
you will end in paying for petrol or taxi....you will come back empty handed with heavy heart...There you go and you will come to know that how a single shop can give a black tag to Doha shopping...
some things are very very cheap and the quality is very very poor.but there are some good things too. but is not a place to visit always, give it a try and see for yourself.
I mean the similar brands to the ones u get from other shops, like omo washing machine powder and lux soap and dac disinfencant and comfort fabric softener...etc
yes it is cheaper and no because everything is low standard there...if we say lux they put name as lox...if dettol they put as pettol...low brand...use and throw

Ramez has some items like show pieces, stationeries, croceries etc. which are cheap and nice...
They use to have Toys section as well but now they have stopped coz of the smell these toys use to emit...it was hazardous for the health...
But still we find good items in Ramez.
for items that are consumable it is not the right place to go but for plates, bowls, plastic ware, rugs, decorations, school supplies its ok but you should inspect the item carefully :)
and you can find some good stuff..

They sell rice and sugar there too? I need to go visit this place again.
and sugar from the leftovers of that rice...:)
what about the rugs there? are they also duplicate?
OK and what about the glasses and plates and bowls and plastic that are cheaper? Those duplicate as well :P
you will end in paying for petrol or taxi....you will come back empty handed with heavy heart...There you go and you will come to know that how a single shop can give a black tag to Doha shopping...
It is a health hazard, visiting that shop.
You need to have a picky eye :P
some things are very very cheap and the quality is very very poor.but there are some good things too. but is not a place to visit always, give it a try and see for yourself.
low standard, you can buy just decoration items or some thing like this but it is not a good place for shoping
i said all are duplicate...very worse quality...never go there
I mean the similar brands to the ones u get from other shops, like omo washing machine powder and lux soap and dac disinfencant and comfort fabric softener...etc
