DO NOT BUY ELECTRONICS FROM CAREFOUR

lebguy
By lebguy

I recently bought an electronic razer from carefour, only to be surprised to open it and find that it has been used. Not only it had hair all over the machine but also it wasn't working at all. I wonder what kind of hygenic standards the supermarket upholds, especially after the rat's incident few month back on their meat shelves.
apprently items are returned without questioning reasons. Personal care products should be handled with more care and more strict return policies. I ended up throwing the machine away without bothering to go back to return it.

that's the only explanation. What is bad about his posting is, for a simple razor, he generalize all the products of C4. Well let's just give him the space to vent his ire, he is one less "precious" customer of C4! Lol!!!!

In defence of carrefour I've returned faulty electronics to them twice, and both times they immediately offered me the choice of a refund or a replacement. They don't have to do this - they could send it for repair and make you wait.

Lebguy, I didnt say you dont have the right to say something did I?

You threw it away without bothering to return it??? How ridiculous. Next to you went to carrefour you could have just spent 5 mins at customer service and you'd have either got a replacement or your money back. I'm with amoud on this one. Your entitled to your freedom of speech, and we're entitled to say your a lasy bugger with more money than sense.

in my country, there is NO Policy like "No Return No Exchange". for sometime before, they practice that bull**** in some stores. as long as the goods you purchased has factory defect, it must be replaced with a receipt even if it's not within 24 hours

Hmm, lebguy I have to ask.... If you couldnt be bothered to get your 89QR back, why bother posting on here mate? You could have gotten a refund but decided you couldnt be bothered so instead you decide to bad mouth the place because of your own laziness?

Nice....

Gloopygladdys: Thnx for the advice about Jambo. got a good brown razor from there for about triple the price and Im happy with it

Chinitasai80 and others: I've got far more better things to do with my time than waste it and waste my energy going to carefour to return it for stupid 89 QR.

well, I do my grocery shopping at Megamart, not carefour (no need to talk about their products, hehe) but I thought since they have a wide collection of electronics they'd have good ones. but then again, cheap places sell cheap products.

he is just sharing his anger with what happened, actually it may look awkward to throm something just because it does not suits your expectation. at any rate it seems that you may be coming from a distance and going to carrefour will be much expensive i guess?

so next time check what you purchase....

Hey, Jackmohan2007, no offense, but carry4 is not appropriate, we speak about a french word here..

carrefour definition

carre·four (kar′ə fo̵or′, kar′ə fo̵or′)

noun

1. a crossroads or intersection

2. a public square or plaza

Etymology: altered (infl. by Fr) < LME quarefour < MFr quarrefour < VL *quadrifurcum, orig. neut. of *quadrifurcus, lit., four-forked, hence, where four roads meet < L quadri- (see quadri-) + furca, fork

besides carrefour is very good when accepting and replacing electronic items. better than LULU Hypermart. my external hard drive was damaged after 4 months of use. they replace it the same time i returned it. Good for me! :D

carrefour does not allow you to open electronic items. If there is problem they take it back

though i havent bought a razor before. are you referring to the BRAUN razor?

I bought fruit blender and i didn't see a fruit inside. bought DVD player but never saw a porn DVD inside. wish there was inside :D LOL.

When buying stuff, get the one at the back. it's like about bread or cakes, they usually make it FIFO (First In First Out) Policy. For some stuff, get the one from the back or bottom to make sure its ok. you get my point? maybe some jackass customer tried it on his beard when nobody is looking around. LOL.

DOn't blame CARREFOUR...

on the first place...u should check the item before buying.

second, if there's something wrong with it... u return and exchange...not throwing it to the trash can.

:)

Before buying it,you should check it in the first place. Then there is like 24 hours return policy on some items. Maybe you pick the wrong razor. maybe it was the merchandiser's razor he used that night before going home :D LOL

You should have return it back to them. They won't know the problem if you don't bother to complain.

Ozzy, most electronics all over the world are made in China mate, even the American ones.... its called outsourcing, it more economical. There is barely any electronics which are American brands made in America.

I never had issue with Carrefour, I once bought a carpet there, didnt like it and returned it for a cash refund. I have bought a lot of electronis there and they are far cheaper than anywhere else. If there is an issue with something you buy, just return it. _____________________________________________________
