BUYING A NEW KIA CAR?......THINK AGAIN!

If you’re thinking of buying a new Kia car then think again!
I have recently bought one in fact I have just taken it for its first (1000km) service.
The car had a problem with the door handle and needed replacing. They said they had fixed it with lubrication but needless to say as soon as I inspected it, it was still the same! It took a stand up row with the supervisor at AL_ATTIYA Motors (Industrial area) to get him to order the part so that the door handle could be replaced (it still has not been replaced).
ALSO...I left just under a ¼ tank of fuel in the car. When I picked the car up the following day, the fuel tank was TOTALLY empty with the display showing that I had 0 km to go before the tank was dry! There were no extra km on the odometer so the car must have been left ‘ticking over’ for HOURS on end to exhaust the fuel. The car manual specifically says that the engine should not be left idling for longer than 3 minutes before 2000km!!! You would think that the ‘mechanics’ would know this. I was worried about taking the car because I was concerned that I would run out of fuel....the supervisor seemed unconcerned and offered no explanation. Luckily my wife was with me in her car and we did make it to the nearest garage...which took us out of our way home!!
IS THIS ACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE?

Kia cars look good... but is very bad when in a crash...

Kia subcompact car - Picanto is the most vunerable with no bonet length or boot space.... In a crash the driver can easily loose his legs.... but here luckily all the hitting is from the rear...

Stav,,,i know kia makes some elegant lookn models now but you must confirm the after sale services before buying a car...hyundai is the best in korean cars and has got good customer service...i know ppl who have faced poor customer service in BMW also..

ONCE AGAIN, WELCOME TO DOHA.

AS PER MY EXPERIENCE SOME OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OR COMPANY HERE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THE WORD 'Customer Service' THEY ARE MORE POPULAR TO POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVERYTHING HERE IS ALL ABOUT MONEY; JUST DOING THERE SERVICE TO EARN MONEY WITHOUT QUALITY AND VALUING THERE CUSTOMER.

Daihatsu cars. Maintenance is part of having cars. Once in a while, you'll regret having a car totally but stretching your patience will have good result!

Oh come on flor....I should not have to compare to any other car. The service should be good for ANY new car...and I should not receive the car back with NO fuel!!

As far as Korean cars go...I think the quality is generally pretty good but that is hopeless with no or poor backup.

Rebel....no one recommended Kia..I just looked and liked??

I have acommpanied two of my friends to their services(Nissan and Honda)...both were without hassel!

Korean cars are still in below quality compare to other car manufacturers. So spend more amount and you will get a good car quality. Rather than breaking your head for such maintenance and mechanical troubles.

The other car service center is offering better customer service than kia.

I just have my car serviced and it was quick and really good. Back on the road.

Maybe its just kia!!!
