Hi ES, I agree with the stinky microwave popcorn, and to think I used to love the stuff. Now you have me thinking to look for an air popper myself. It is making me crave some!

Will look again at CF. I don't think I've looked there, actually. There were none at Giant when I got the bee in my bonnet to find an air popper. Might try the microwave method as well - maybe it won't stink like the packaged "microwave popcorn"!

ES, I got one at Carrefour several months ago. Princess brand. It's not great but it does the job.

But it's like everything else here. You have to keep doing the "Doha Shop Hop" till you finally find someone that has it in stock.

Just keep looking in all the usual places- Carrefour, Giant, FFC, etc.

try the appliance section at carrefour...got mine from there couple of years ago...

I had one years ago (in the states). If you cannot find one here, try putting kernels of corn in a brown paper bag (lunch bag size). Fold end of bag a couple of times. Set for 3 minutes in the microwave. The corn will air pop in the bag.

You may want to experiment with the amount of corn and the amount of time in the microwave. Don't leave it unattended because the corn/bag could catch fire.

I've enjoyed no oil/air popcorn using this method many times. :)
