Working visa regulations

Hi all,
Sorry if this has already been asked before, but I would just like some fresh advice.

I have currently been working for over a month, I am due to hand in my passport shortly to get a working visa to last until sometime in the next month or 2. I will then have to get my RP and to sign a contract which has to be for all of next year aswell . If I decide not to accept the terms of the contract at this stage and stop working would this working visa in my passport cause any problems or could I simply leave Doha and return again shortly afterwards and get a 1 month tourist visa again. Thank you in advance for any advice on this.

so the working visa shouldnt complicate things too much its when it gets to the Rp and contract that enters all the legal conditions etc, was jsut double checking that at that stage when I had the working visa and if I do not sign contract for RP that I wouldnt get a ban or anything and could just walk away and leave Qatar in the usual manner. Thanks again

Dear I-7, your RP will not be stamped unless there is a work contract signed by you & the sponsor which is then ratified by the Labor dept., The contract is main doc to process one's RP where it is covered with all the terms and conditions, benefits, give & take etc., etc., Good luck.

so currently you are in a tourist visa? if that expired and you didn't got any working visa, most probably you will go home unless you can still renew it.

If your on a business visa and decide you don't want to commit you will need to obtain exit permit to leave but then zoo can come back, if u agree and sign then u commit for 1 year or maybe 2

Even though as of yet I have not signed anything of anysort, and you could say its a trial period while my temp working visa is being sorted out? I know the rules are there for when you have an RP but I did not think the same level was attached to a temporary working visa and definatley not before you even have that in place.

is not stamped in your passport you could be in trouble.

The company could decide either to send you back and blacklist you (meaning a 2 year ban on you) or in the worst scenario file a complaint on you for "absconding" and then leave the case to the authorities (jail, trial, deportation and ban)

Regardless of the case or the scenario you should have had all contract options and conditions clear before even coming into Qatar. There is no way the company is going to change the conditions once they have you here already.

Hope the best for you!!!
