Hi Everyone,

I am a Filipino and is still here in manila. I am offered a job at Doha as a Civil Engineer which I accepted. I received my work visit visa but the profession is Carpenter. The scheduled flight going there in Qatar is this coming Wednesday. I am worried about the profession which was indicated in the Visa, Does it matter? The contract still says the position as a Civil Engineer. The agency told me, its just an entry visa. I am also planning to get my wife and one kid in the future, will I have problems about this? Please advise if I still have to leave...

Thank you.

What a Load of B.S. Some companies Engineer visa is not available. so the get you in whatever Visa available and convert later. There is no min. range for Engineer's Salary

they usually do that because obviously to cut the expense for working visa..another thing is the salary range they can offer you salary below the minimum range of engineer's salary..but I guess you will still work as an engineer.. But for your info, they give work visa as engineers on arabs who's actual profession is as technician..amazing ha....uhh

of course you will have problems to bring ur family, since ur visa is already alloted as labours visa ,ie carpenter.you cannot change it while u arrive here,i talked with my company PRO and he gave this information,as far as you r concerned,no big issues, but if u go for a loan or visit any other country, then problem may arise,,,for working here , no issue.ok
