Work Visa Processing time

I have an offer from Government organization in Qatar and waiting for my visa. How long it normally takes to get work visa. I know my friend is waiting for six weeks and did not hear anything from his employer in Qatar about visa.

I also have an offer from UAE and do not know what to do? Should I also accept job offer from UAE and let them apply visa for me. Does it matter if I do not join after getting visa from any of the above mentioned companies in two different countries. Can they put ban on me if I do not join after my visa get approve.

Please reply back because I do not have any information about working in Gulf.

Thanks,

I have actually submitted copies my legalised certificates along with passport copies and other info the HR at the organisation I accepted an offer from on 14th may 2011. I have been checking regualry with the HR department since then and th eonly update I had was that the vwork visa application passed the first stage; application at the Labour dept. and i gathered that there is a secuirty check and then followed by a visa issuing process.

3 month have passed and no show yet!

Hi! to all... I'm a little bit confused of my status. Hope someone could help me with this.

I'm currently in Dubai having tourist visa, i found a company who hired me last Nov. 7, 2010. But they just processed my visa last week and my visit visa will expire on Dec. 26. The PRO informed me to go back and wait for my visa to be sent in the Philippines. As i surf the internet, I've read that the employment contract should be verified at POLO and need to be authenticated in the Philippine Embassy, in order for me to have the OEC.

Is there anybody knows the fees for this processing and the processing time since i'll be leaving Dubai on December 26, 2010.

are you sure you are engineer? then how about using your "technical" brain and make some search on the internet for the jobs in Gulf?

any company can hire a person from overseas. Most of the employees are hired this way. Only people from subcontinent and phills like to come to qatar, sometimes using illegal ways, to look for a job here.

No need to search for particular company for a year, search for particular job, and then see what kind of company is that...

I taught they said there some companies who employ people direct from other country? For close to a year now i have been searching for one. Some should pls link me to one, wouldn't mind an individual. I do men's hair cut (barber)with 17yrs experience also i do tiles laying (tiler) with 5yrs experience.

is there are an information on lines of current time to process the work visa? My HR coordinator tells every time that my visa under processing. I have read in some situations was happen the visa rejected and people tries second time with other employer. Probably better do not wait such long time the result your visa will come or refuse, but

better to apply for other employer?

it is because of everything..

City, life style, life level, class.. everything. Organized, complete, classy Abu Dhabi is way higher than messy Qatar..

" If it's Abu Dhabi, don't even think twice, go for Abu Dhabi rather than Qatar.."

Please write some details ; that why you are preferring

Abu Dhabi over Qatar.

Is that because of salaries or the rules in Abu Dhabi ?

6 weeks? this is too much.. 3-4 days is enough for issuing work visa.. ok, let us say 1 week... ok 2 weeks.. but 6??

there is something wrong..

try UAE.. and where is in UAE? If it's Abu Dhabi, don't even think twice, go for Abu Dhabi rather than Qatar..
